Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Latin America Q3 2023

The third quarter of 2023 has shown interesting trends for the top 5 navigation and maps applications on a unified platform in Latin America. Below, we break down the performance of each app in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced consistent download activity throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 1.9K in the week of September 4. Weekly active users showed a stable trend with a slight increase, reaching around 11.3M by mid-September.

Google Maps saw a steady flow of downloads, peaking at about 5.5K in mid-August. Weekly active users remained robust, fluctuating around 16.5M to 17M, with a peak of approximately 17M in early September.

Google Earth had a varied download pattern, with a peak of roughly 5.4K in early July and a low point of around 3K in late September. Active user numbers hovered around 1M, showing slight fluctuations but generally maintaining stability.
